Oh hell no. Maybe it's seeing the people around me who are and go through the same long distance relationship problems all the time that is kind of.. comforting isn't really the word but I guess it works well enough? But I see how happy they still are, and how they managed to get through shit and like... I know it's real. :3
Do you ever feel angry or stressed because of the distance?
Sad. Always sad.
Do you ever take it out on your significant other?
I would never do that. Not even think of it.
Are you ever jealous of local couples?
Yeah. Even if I were to get some sort of certificate whatever, Gaz can never come live with me. He wouldn't be able to get on base. I wouldn't get the money necessary to have a house, I wouldn't get the money necessary to buy groceries. The government would not pay for his plane tickets to move when I did, and they would not take care of him if he got hurt or sick, or let him come visit me in a base hospital if that happened to me. The military may let me have a partner that is the same sex, but they will not give them or I the same rights as everyone else.
What are the advantages of a long-distance relationship?

Do people have less faith in your relationship because of the distance?
I've mentioned it to my closest family members but didn't really discuss it, and never go into detail when mentioning it to anyone else. Just that I have a boyfriend but he lives in cali.

Hopefully not too far away. I'm gonna try to start taking HOPS and get back to the states every now and then.

Not at all. Why would Gaz lie to me? He knows that even if something DID happen I would be understanding and forgiving. Not being an insanely jealous control freak is not a hard concept guys.

Do what feels right. If you have any doubts, or have issues with jealousy, don't. If you believe in them, and stay honest, it can work. And even the poorest of folk can have hope of seeing each other at some point. I, personally, regret nothing. And maybe if you don't take the chance, you'll end up missing something wonderful <3
