My condolences.

It hurts so much to loose a friend especially one as close as who you have had. Far be it for me to give you any advice or tell you what to do, but as someone who has been down this road what I can tell you is that things will get better while always cherishing the good times you have had with your friend. I think all of us have a certain amount of time in this world, and it is not for us to choose when that time comes up. I think because life is so arbitrary it is frustrating and feels overwhelming when things like this happen. If this means anything, then you were so lucky to have had someone like your friend about whom you cared and who cared for you. Not everyone has as strong friendships as you had, and at least you had your friend for whatever time you were together.

If you can, then try your best to stay tight with your surviving friends and with your family and take things one day at a time. It is going to hurt so much the first three months to the point where it hurts to open you eyes. With that being said at least your friend is an angel looking over you now which he most likely was when he was alive.
