the viruses on DA I've found can come from some of the adverts. I've been on a sub there for well over two years mostly as everything is much faster and looks better without ads and I've never had a virus alert.

Yep, it's from the ads.

They have a policy regarding bad ads, but figuring out how to report them correctly is difficult. The instructions are on the dA forums which have no navigation link from the dA main page, nor are there any instructions in their FAQ.

I lost my systen 32 on my windows xp pc, so, if safe mode restore doesnt work for me like it did last time, I'm screwed, took me 30min to get from the mainpage to this journal. this virus murdered me.

ok I'm back it worked however I'm online just fine, but it stays in a state saying "aquairing network address, but it has a strong signal strrenght. that bad?

Haven't seen anything like that, but if you're online anyway, you can probably ignore it.
Might want to find/get a clean copy of your wireless driver in any case, though.

What draco said, try uninstalling and reinstalling your network card drivers, couldn't hurt.

No, it's not.

If your using Vista OR 7, it does that when it can't identify the network. I don't know the exact steps, but they should have some free help that you can call Windows for to walk you through it. It's not that hard, and it's been a while since I've done Tech support (and even then it was real time on the phone). For the most part, you need to get your computer to 'reset network adapter' so that when it connects it shows you that annoying page about 'home, public, business' and select your preferred connection. Again, if that doesn't work, call the manufacturer of your computer.

If it's pre-windows vista.... not sure what to do, as it's usually more reliable then that.

Safe mode and anti virus of your choice. I use a trio of AVG, Malwarebytes, and Winsecurity essentials. Tends to get the job done.

yep viruses i hate to a extreme degree my comp is shit as it is can hardly load anything in less then a few minutes the fact is i want to strangle every motherfucker out there that made these damn viruses
oh and i hope you never get any of those adware or spyware and shit that fucks the comp up
