Ah, my resolution was simply 'don't die this year'. :3

Simple and right to the point. Not a bad resolution if you ask me.

I figured it was a pretty good one to try and keep, and if I forget it (As I am wont to do with new years resolutions) chances are I'll still follow through with keeping it.

i like that resolution...anyways, i dont mind(being a christian myself) if you pick on us, i dont asociate with the neanderthals of my beliefs due to their idiocy. so bash away if you want ^^

See, that's the thing--I don't mean to bash on Christians. I agree that not all Christians are as flat-headed as, say, Phelps and his crew, but I don't intend to specifically pick on any religion. It's the organizations and dogmatic canons that bother me about ALL the different religions.

So, I just want to back off a bit. Besides, I've made my feelings known...said my piece.

My faith aligns with catholocism, it was how I was raised. Long ago I gave up on the church... that is if I were even 'on board' to start.

damn man, I actually think that most of your journal's really bring out the best in people in terms of intelligence. I hear well researched, and highly relevant personal opinions that far out shadow the few random bawwings that are doomed to hit any comment. Most of the philosophical journals you have posted have brought out, some of the most in depth and open discussions that I have found while not stepping on too many toes; at least not without having asked for it. Frankly the only reason a person would have to bitch at you for "attacking" Christians would have to be re-evaluated because in each post I've seen, I hear you repeatedly say for the slow learners in the class that you have an opinion that is not against specific individuals but rather the skewed ideals "the ones they skewed themselves" that they feel the need to push onto others. The ones out to save everyone's ass even when they don't want to be saved and scream heresy if opposed, have made it a rather large target to ignore. The fact that they have such a following makes it quite necessary for people to hear a differing opinion on the subject so that it's not drowned amidst the flood of propaganda.

But sir, you have made a step in the right direction, because even though I'm pretty sure you feel you are justified "I certainly think you are", you will step down in the effort to relieve tension on an already high blood pressure topic.

So far I've seen 2 people state their monitor resolution in their journals.

I thought about making a resolution, but all my plans are already in motion. So i didn't make one. But to be honest, whatever you may have called the journals...rants, harps, whines, informational, personal views on personal matters in your personal journal. This is your place to talk about your feelings. If you feel you are too angry or some sort of negative emotion about it, then change. But what you've been saying seems to have been pretty intelligent, inciteful, and very refreshing.

meh I'm a Christian, and I don't mind the churches being mocked. The way I see it, Christianity is split up into so many different uh.. factions that how can ONE of them possibly be right? Seems they all think they are, though. Gotta follow your heart, I say, and the last thing someone who doesn't believe needs is someone chasing them around trying to tell them what their heart should be telling them. Religion is something one has to discover on his/her own, not have shoved down their throats like bad babyfood.
As for mocking Christianity itself, heh, that's simply a completely harmless use of the free will we're given. Getting pissy about it certainly isn't going to help anything at best.
