White Mages
Specialize in healing and restorative spells. Also possess the powerful offensive Holy spell. Tend to wield maces or staves and wear bright, lightweight robes.
Black Mages
Specialize in multi-elemental offensive magic. Fire, Thunder, Ice (common). Several powerful Non-elemental attacks. Uses wands or staves and wears dark-colored lightweight robes.
Red Mages
Capable of using some low-level Black and White magics. Jack-of-all trades, master of none. Capable of wielding many types of weapons, including swords, as well as leather armor with better physical defense than robes.
Green Mages
Can cast and remove Status magic. Poison, Sleep, Blind (common). Knows no offensive spells. Usually wields Axes or Hammers. Wears leather armor.
Blue Mages
Copycats. Can learn and use most enemy magics targeted against them. Uses unique weapons, but tend to wear lightweight robes like traditional mages.
Time Mages
Controls the ebb and flow of time around them. Haste, Slow, Stop (common). Knows no offensive spells. Uses wands and wears robes.
Geomancers
Wield the power of nature surrounding them. Powers based on fighting terrain. Usually wield Axes or Hammers and wear leather armor.
Blood Mages
Users of profane magic that draws on life energy for additional power. Can steal life from those around them. Often wields a staff and wears robes. Certain rituals require a dagger to draw blood from the caster's or a donor's body.
Spirit Casters
Mages who have made pacts with spirits in order to obtain rare powers. Magics are limited and based on the nature of the Pact Spirit. Can use a variety of weapons and wear many types of armor based on the terms of the pact.
Summoners
Mages who can call on the power of a variety creatures, physical and elemental in nature, to smite their opponents. Wield staves and heavy robes.
War Mages
Mages who have chosen to apply their powers in melee combat, rather than avoiding full on confrontations like their typical counterparts. Wield a variety of weapons, shields, and heavy armor. Can imbue their equipment with magical properties.
Bards/Dancers
Casts various buffs and debuffs using song and dance. Generally not offensive. Wield no weapons and wear simple clothes.
