I remember a day when the history channel showed actual history. Such a long time ago.

I find it rather funny that I have a huuuge library of fascinating historical documentaries and TV shows, most of which have a History Channel watermark on them, NONE of which I've actually ever seen air on the network.

but I remember those days too. then they developed a Nazi obsession and were referred to as the Hitler Channel. xD
now it's uh. answering every question mankind has with ALIENS.

They are following a similar pattern of shows that have nothing to do with the name. Take Discovery Channel or Animal Planet for example. Hell, it might only be a matter of time before NASA TV has dance competitions on it.

I think it's fun and neat to watch. Of course I don't take it seriously... I just really think aliens are fascinating. =c

I actually have an avid fascination with the paranormal, especially hauntings and UFOs, but.

I just can't take Ancient Aliens seriously enough to keep an interest. though that might also stem from having an interest in ancient civilizations. xD

I have an idea. We kidnap the History Channel executives, and force them to put Civil War, WW1, and WW2 shows back on air. Then modern marvels, History's Mysteries, and history's business. Then bring back Rodger Mudd and make him CEO.

Then all will be well.

I miss modern marvels.. and historical shows on wars..I'm tired of hearing "aliens" and "God" on there. If I wanna hear such foul language about the heavens I'll go to a church.

I am so sick of aliens being the explanation for everything. I pretty much stopped playing Assassin's Creed when it started all that crap up, and the less said about the ending to most recent Indiana Jones the better. If aliens really did come down and do all this stuff, why did they just make some crappy stone pyramids and line pictures of animals drawn in the desert? Why didn't they build mile high skyscrapers made of weird otherwordly composite materials, or give us all jet packs and teach us the power of cold fusion, rather than teaching some Egyptians how to farm? :P

Relying on Aliens makes me pretty angry, it really takes all the hard work and accomplishment out of everything the human race as done and is capable of.

Well, it's either that or more TopGear USA.

Anything with James May, Richard Hammond or Jeremy Clarkson is instantly 3-400% better than it would have been, with the assumption that a score less than 0 is not possible, and a 0 would have been too poor quality for them to help it in the first place.

Jeremy Clarkson is an annoying, curly-haired fool. I want to attack his terrible taste in clothes with a pair of scissors. Actually no, every pair of scissors.... in the wooorld.

I hate that man with a passion. He's like the irritating boy racer who never grew up, with all his wheelspins and obsession with big, overpowered cars. And his egocentric opinions. The man's clearly compensating for something...

Well yeah but at least he admits it regularly. I don't mind people with that attitude type when they're self-deprecating all the time.

Pleh. He also took a perfectly decent and informative car programme and turned it into a comedy show, backed up by his two Clarkson clones, who may look different to him but are every bit as annoying. Yes, I'm an old cynic and proud of it. I don't see why I should revere him and his money-wasting programme just because everyone else does.

Never said you have to. :) I just tend to not let old cynics get under my skin about things I enjoy. ;D

Damn! I have failed in my task of spreading cynicism and misery... now I've got a whole load left over and it'll probably go off, you can never store that stuff. Maybe I'll try putting it in the freezer, might come out a bit soggy when thawed though... :3
