Steve Jobs died today at aged 56. As a new drinker of the macintosh koolaid, Im not the best advocate of Mac or apple. Whether your a diehard PC user or Mac user lets all show some respect to a man of great innovation who frontiered several new inventions whose influence will shape the technological landscape for years to come.

R.I.P.
Coming from Canada, however, a bit too many parralels could be made with his resignation from his post with Neo Democratic Party leader Jack Layton's own resignation from his leadership position to "temporarily" retire from politics to recover from cancer... which he never recovered from :(
This was kind of sad because before Layton, the NDP was almost a non-party, and he was the kind of guy who even his opponent really did have utmost respect for even when opposed to his ideas. And even to some of his opponent, when he brought the NDP to the level of official opposition, these people felt he had reached the role he was basically born for... and then he died...
A few parrelel I guess could be made between Jobs and Layton, in regard to the impact both had on their respective organization, cancers they both fought and temporarily recovered from enough to bring their organization to a great level before finally being forced to resign because of said diseases' return ultimately killing them. :(
He did great work, no doubt. Won't be the same without him.
God speed, Mr Jobs. Your impacts on the technological world have been only pluses, it's sad that you won't be at the wheel of more of that.
He will be sorely missed.
