Ribbon Meaning List:
Puzzle ribbon: Autism awareness
Cloud ribbon: Congenital diaphragmatic hernia awareness
Zebra-print Ribbon: Rare Disease awareness; Carcinoid & Neuroendocrine tumor awareness; Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome awareness
White ribbon: Multiple Hereditary Exostoses; Gay-Teen Suicide Awareness; White Ribbon Campaign (what makes a man a man): Working to end violence against women; The White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood: to ensure that pregnancy and childbirth are safe for all women and newborns in every country around the world; The White Ribbon is used to raise awareness for Severe Combined Immune Deficiency Disease (SCID) and SCID Newborn Screening; Invisible Illness (SOURCE NEEDED)
Pearl, white, or clear ribbon: Lung Cancer awareness. Originally clear, referencing air and being too-often unnoticed, but evolved to primarily pearl or white for practical reasons.
Blue ribbon: Child Abuse awareness (Solid Light Blue ribbon- Among certain advocacy organizations, ribbon is sometimes worn as a braided bracelet by survivors of violent physical or sexual child abuse in memory of victims.); von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) awareness (blue); Human trafficking and sex slavery awareness (navy blue); Stevens-Johnson Syndrome awareness; Colon cancer awareness; Electronic Frontier Foundation: Freedom of Speech online; Canada's National Non Smoking Week; Blue Ribbon Coalition: Responsible use of public lands for the benefit of all recreationists; Hydranencephaly awareness; Chronic Fatigue Syndrome awareness; Myalgic Encephalomyelitis awareness; Addiction Recovery awareness; Beat Bullying (UK)
Blue Jeans Denim Ribbon: Genetic disorder awareness(often misidentified as equivalent to rare disease awareness as "about 80 percent of rare diseases are genetic in origin," implying 20 percent of rare diseases are not genetic in origin)
Purple ribbon: Crohn's and Colitis Awareness Campaign; Domestic Violence Awareness Campaign; Spirit Day and victims of homophobia; Sarcoidosis awareness; Lupus awareness; Arnold Chiari Malformation awareness; Fibromyalgia awareness; Childhood Hemiplegia and stroke awareness; Cystic Fibrosis awareness; Alzheimer's Disease awareness; Pancreatic cancer awareness; Workers' Memorial Day; March of Dimes Awareness Ribbon; Hidradenitis Suppurativa Awareness Ribbon
Lavender ribbon: Epilepsy awareness; Craniosynostosis awareness; Cancer awareness (all kinds)
Jade Ribbon: Jade Ribbon Campaign awareness about hepatitis B and liver cancer
Gray Ribbon: Borderline Personality Disorder Awareness; Diabetes awareness (more commonly diabetes is symbolized by the blue circle, as designated by the International Diabetes Federation); Brain cancer awareness; Asthma awareness; Zombie awareness
Silver Ribbon: Brain disorders awareness; Ovarian cancer awareness; Gynaecological Cancer awareness
Burgundy Ribbon: Adults with disabilities awareness and support; Amyloidosis support; Brain Aneurysms Awareness; Headaches/Migrains
Red and Black Ribbon: Atheist Solidarity
Brown Ribbon: Brown ribbons are worn on the lapel for anti-tobacco, colon cancer (Brown ribbon is the alternate color, Dark blue is the official ribbon color), and colorectal cancer awareness.
Rainbow Ribbon: This style of ribbon is a symbol of gay pride and support for the GLBT community and their quest for equal rights
Blue and Silver Ribbon: Living with or coping with cancer
Blue and Purple Ribbon: Denotes childhood or pediatric stroke and Rhuematoid Arthritis Awareness
Red and Gold Ribbon: Neonatal Alloimmune Thrombocytopenia (NAIT) Awareness [a disease that affects fetuses and newborns. Genetic differences between the fetus and mother may result in the expression of certain antigens by fetal platelets, not expressed by the mother. Fetomaternal transfusions result in the recognition of these antigens by the mother's immune system as non-self, with the subsequent generation of allo-reactive antibodies which cross the placenta. NAIT, hence, is caused by transplacental passage of maternal platelet-specific alloantibody and rarely human leukocyte antigen (HLA) allo-antibodies (which are expressed by platelets) to fetuses whose platelets express the corresponding antigens. NAIT occurs in somewhere between 1/800 and 1/5000 live births. More recent studies of NAIT seem to indicate that it occurs in around 1/600 live births in the Caucasian population.]
Lace Ribbon: The symbol for osteoporosis.
If you would like one, they are 2$ each. PM either me or
for the Ribbon of your choice. ^^
