Rainfurrest 2011 Recap
Here you go. My RF2011 recap. Yea. It's long. I did it on a whim. So there is a high chance I am going to re-make it on another take altogether. We shall see.
Anyways, let me know what you guys think.
Cheers o7

YOU BETTER HAVE MENTIONED ME
XD
lol I know it snows. I plan to go there someday and do some snowboarding.
The guy who makes the metal badges is Gnowun Uno (pronounced like "no one you know"). cheers
Nice and energetic.
I was surprised the rain held off as long as it did.
Again though, thank you for watching ^.^ <3
A couple minute down poor on Sunday, starting late last year and a good part of this year, cloudy and rainy for months. On the plus side when it is nice it can be perfect and lucky those here do not tend to get weather that is really dangerous aside from areas that can flood. I know others have to deal with far worse. Even so it is nice to see the sun once in awhile. :D
Weather is unpredicatble at best, but, I have come to enjoy it. Rain, snow, or outright monsoon and blizzard, I love it! Heat...anything over 75*F+, I hate. XD
I am quite the fan of the high sixties low seventies, so I have to strongly agree with you on anything over seventy five starts to get uncomfortable, I will have to pass on Phoenix etc... one hundred plus for weeks on end? I rather not die. Plus I am used to areas with a lot of trees.
Here in Wyoming, we do things differently. We love our tiny ass population, the lack of civilization and more so, we thrive on the open country and freakish weather :D
Funny thing is how I think it is a bit of drive to Seattle (hour and a half to two hours) when some people have to drive a dozen hours to get to a city half that size. I have a feeling I would miss the quiet if I moved to a busier town.
Until that is....you want to eat Olive Garden....there is not a single one in all of Wyoming :(
lol wants you get used to it, you enjoy it. And having been born to it, I would not want to live anywhere else....except maybe Alaska :P
Even my area has one fifth of the population of your entire state of 563,626, Seattle area has about that many people which is a bit much for me. Washington State is around 6,744,496 and it is a bit smaller, so I can imagine it being on the quiet side around there. And here I thought driving twenty minutes to get to the shops I want gets tiresome, how about I try an hour and a half to get to anything good, I am sure my twenty minute drive would not seem so bad. Seriously I am so used to it I hardly even notice anymore. The area I live in is basically three towns right together with a population of about 100,000. Feels mostly like government offices, homes and stores, nothing all that entertaining to do event wise. Seattle is NOT that far up north, Rainfurrest took just a bit over an hour to get to which was a breeze.
I just ate of Olive Garden last month for the first time in years, they have some nice food there, could go for some now at 5:25 in the morning. Wyoming needs to get one at once. :D
I grew up in this state so I am quite found of it, never lived in the city and I doubt I would care for it. I could be curious enough to try it, I like some breathing room. It is great that you enjoy where you live, so many people feel stuck when they live in smaller towns. You can get your craziness when you go to conventions. While there I want it to last longer until I wake up on the last day and notice there is a reason conventions are only four days. :]
So, 'civilization' might be out of my reach some, but I don't mind it. I have internet, Red Box, Netflix, Gamefly, and such, so I make do. Plus, Wyoming so far is the only state I know of that allows fursuiter's in their Wal-Mart's :D I shop at my local Wally World often in suit. It's a ton of fun, and I really enjoy doing it. In fact, I think tomorrow I shall go do it!
But yea, I enjoy going to con's a great deal. MFF is my next one planned, and knowing its guna happen, makes me all giddy inside. I can't act like a furry at my job, but I can elsehwere. But at cons, man, thats where my friends are. From Skroy to Syber and Balto, to Ruby and Slayer, down to Frostee and Kaz, and many others, a con is a place I can let loose, have fun, and hang with friends. I certainly look forward to seeing you at another con ^.^ Fursiter, Furry, or simple fan of the fandom, all are my friends :D I enjoy every hug and handshake, every high-five and hello! So be it four days, three days, or a whole week, to me, its all about the fun, good times, and family! <3
Suiting at Wal-Mart? Awesome, nice that they do not give though who want to a hard time about it. How did you find out you could do that? Sounds like a plan, go suit and enjoy. I imagine you get all types of reactions from people. :D
Regarding conventions, I was quite happy about getting to Rainfurrest. Second convention Rainfurrest 2009 being my first. I can see why it makes you happy, just good times. I am new to suiting so I still have to find my voice and I want to be more outgoing as I want to meet, talk to hug, high five everyone, I am there to be social and meet people. Now from your video alone most could tell you have a voice and are most likely very outgoing.
Good chance I will catch you at Rainfurrest 2012? I will differently have to run into you there. That is likely to be my next con until I run into a good chunk of change (which is fine with me) :D
I did notice something that happened during RF, some people that I only saw once the entire time, no one I know personally, just a couple suiters I knew were there yet did not see until the last day or so. Could just be the design of the convention center. Did not get too many photographs this year, with suiting there is a lot less time.
I do hope my knee does not start killing me on the first day like this year, why must we have stuff like that happen when we are trying to enjoy a convention?
awww, and thanks for the sweet shout out ^>^ we'll definitely treat you to an awesome gourmet meal!!
And you are most welcome! I look forward to coming down to SLC soon and taking you up on that offer ^.^
Also.... cake AND cotton candy vodka....
