A good thing finally done

I finally managed to do my vacuum table.

Now I just need to wait for silicone to dry a bit, and to find an adaptator or something to make my vacuum cleaner fits it. But it seems to work even with just duct tape to fill the gap of where the final adaptator will be.
I've made it quite big, just in case one time I need to do a big project.
The area is 60*60 cm, but I can still make it bigger by adding more holes to it, maximum size could reach 86*78 cm if I want.
I will need to find a really bigger oven than I've now, or a way to heat bigger size plastic sheets properly. For my first try with my little oven, I will just hide some holes with the tape like on my pictures below to reduce the size of the vacuuming area.
I will finally be able to have an use for all those plastic sheets I've got with me for years.
For those of you who don't know that kind of thing, here's a sample of how it's working, you heat a plastic sheet, you put it on a sculpt of something, and the table by sucking up the air adjust the plastic sheet on the sculpt.

I will use it to work on some of my fursuit or cosplay head projects, then on some accessories I wanted to do since long.
On a different total news, it seems that praying mantis really love my places. I've found several here and there hunting in my garden.
But it seems that there numbers have decreased by twice lately, and of course it seems that there are only females left now. This nice and really big one, nearly ten centimeters long, as found a place under the windows of my kitchen and have laid twice there.

It's keeping ferociously his eggs here and those one have really a good view because it was staring at me even from far away.
I think that poking them with a stick just to annoy them when they were younger in the garden was not a so good idea after all ^_^!

I've been thinking about making one of those for some projects of my own. :)
Now, the hard part will be to train with some of my plastic and my oven to find the good way to heat the plastic sheet, and to apply the plastic correctly to the sculpt.
At least it will give me new opportunities and new way to try to make fursuit heads.
If I'm get used to it, and succed in making nice things with it, maybe I would be able to help with your project and to vacuum-form something for you if you need.
That'd be great! :D
I've made a first little frame this afternoon to use it with my little oven, it's kind of working, but I still need to work some details so the plastic sheet stay in place. I need to learn how to set the oven to heat correctly the plastic sheet too.
