Help!! (SAI/tablet problem) (Fixt!!)
Who ever thought a reindeer could be so much more...
Hey all, I know I havent been around lately, been busy with life I suppose. Anyways, Ive been trying to get some commission sketches/general artwork going and for some reason my setup has recently decided to bug out on me. Im using Paint Tool SAI and replaced my old Bamboo Fun with a (Wacom) Bamboo Pen and Touch. It seemed to be working just fine when I first bought it, though now that I think of it it was also not responding to pen pressure.
The Problem: I cant get the pen-tool to register anything between no pressure and 100% pressure.
Im running: Windows 7
Paint Tool Sai
Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch tablet
newest drivers (as of Sept 2011 according to Wacom's website)
From what Ive read on SAI's forum it's a somewhat common problem, but Ive yet to find a solution there to fix it.
If anyone actually reads this and can help/direct someone to help/link me to a solution that's worked for other people, I'd appreciate it very much!
In related news, Im trying to work on the one or two concepts sent my way as well as things that pop into my own naughty lil head but this pen pressure business is aggravating me so progress is exceedingly slow atm until I can resolve things. That said, I am still doing what I can, when I can. Saying as such, I'll put a shameless plug for my commissions despite the current limitations ^^.
So apparently actually using the install disc that comes with the tablet does something... whoda thunk >>

Unfortunately the only solution is trial and error, and patience, try one of the following until it's fixed
Unplug the tablet for a few seconds and re-plug it in
Restart your pc
Turn off the pc, unplug your tablet, plug it back in and turn pc on
Re-install the tablet
Uninstall/Re-install SAI
That said, lack of pressure isn't a 'massive' problem. For many the tablet simply doesn't respond in SAI
I know being able to use the tablet in some fashion is more than others can say, but not having pen pressure is aggrivating at least given how difficult it makes sketch/line work not to mention rendering (though I may just try lowering the density/opacity of the brush and going with that for now).
Hopefully it'll just hiccup sometime in the future or a legit fix will come along for me to use >.<.
