D: NO! RE was a great game, now they have gone and done tearing it down to crap. Damn Capcom, they used to be good.

It always boils down the the amount of people that will buy the game. Sure people love the survival horror aspect of hte game. but there were plenty of people that disliked that and prefer to just shoot things and not enjoy the athmosphere. Sadly they outnumber those that enjoy the resident evil games of old. So they can make more money if they make the games that more people want.

They give all sorts of bullshit reasons as to why they think that. Talking about the evolution of games and whatnot. Granted a game will need to change with the times. But its always down to the lowest common denominator

No different than Konami killing the Silent Hill series. :/ After The Room (which was never even supposed to be an SH game to begin with) they were never quite the same. Similarly, the action-oriented spin Capcom put on RE4 pretty much sealed the fate of the survival-horror aspect of the franchise.

RE4 was a great game, but it honestly didn't fit in with the franchise, same with RE5. They would have been better off being a separate franchise, I think.

lol i bought mercenaries 3D...and i regret it. So freaking boring after a few tries. Yea Resident Evil 4 was fun, 5 was going down hill some. to Me it wa all "action" no survival/horror

I mean, for fuck's sake, is that one of the last great survival horrors out there with everything becoming more action-styled? ...I'm looking at you Dead Space 2, your story was great, but you lost some of that horror value...

yea ill admit it that ORC at least has zombies, but till has to much action that you have to fight other human's is just kinda...lame. But the original formula is dead

Resident Evil 4 has always been my favourite by a long way. The main thing I didn't like about 5, aside from them forcing the 'multi-player' aspect was that it took a major step back with the inventory system. Aside from the 'dogs jumping through the windows' in the original and the tense music in Nemesis I never thought the series did "horror" particularly well anyway.

I actually like this idea for the game lol, seems enjoyable, Resident Evil lost it's survival part in resident evil 4 when you got just about unlimited ammo and tons of fire power, horror game, sure I guess it had the non-human monster aspect

already did on the first day it came out <3 that one and dead space are the only ones close to being survival horror
