So, now huffington post has picked up the story and waddled with it...

I find it interesting, because here they go a step further, they do not refer to them as "Undocumented" "Illegal" or any other term except immigrants.
This represents a paradigm shift on the part of the left leaning media which to me suggests they're about to go on the "attack" against "abuses" of the "rights" of "Immigrants" IE attack legitimate attempts to enforce federal law against illegal immigrants.
BTW, for those of you who are not immigrants, or not American, United States Federal Immigration law has required that Immigrants, temporary or permanent, IE all non citizens of the united states over the age of 14 to carry their identification(papers) with them any time they leave their house since 1952. This is not new, you can be fined for not doing it, I believe the fine is 100$(which was a lot in 1952). If you are over 18 you can be fined if you are over 14 your parents are fined. This isn't new, its not turning the US into a Nazi like "Papers please" state, we have always been this way, they are guest in our country (many of them unwelcome and uninvited guests) and they need to abide the law. An illegal immigrant needs only to have their Identification card from their country of legal residency (IE: mexico, guatemala, honduras) and they are still within THAT law, though obviously violating some more important ones.

Also.. on how they talk about how poorly we treat illegal immigrants when caught.. lets look at what mexico does http://michellemalkin.com/2010/04/2.....llegal-aliens/ yeah.. you get caught over there? two years hard labor in prison.. do it again? ten years, everyone complains on what we do to them.. when they do it themselves FAR harsher.

OP
Yes, I was aware of these, we do study other nations immigration approaches at the Academy. They also frequently gun down large numbers of illegals, the government that is, not the cartels, in Mexico, in I want to say 2006, but I may be wrong, the federales raided a warehouse where a large number of illegal Guatemalans were living, when many of them got up to run, the Mexican Federal Police opened fire, killing like 20 some odd of them.

Yup, I was originally going to link a video I once saw of mexican officers releasing attack dogs on already subdued and bound illegals [bolvians if I remember right] and allowing the dogs to severely injure them before the video was cut. but I couldn't find it anymore.
