Initiating frequency broadcast....
In light of the prequel coming out, I found it necessary to watch the original John Carpenter's 1982 "The Thing".
Out of the entire movie, the parts I hated the most were the two scenes when the huskies were being killed.

Yep. Interesting fact: John Carpenter's version is one of only a few remakes to EVER be widely accepted as better than the original.
