Vet stories, don't hurt my Pritzie!

The owner walked in, holding her long haired small dog in her arm. She's seems to be some kind of a millionaire who loves her dog more than her servant...
Owner : Hello doctor, I'm here with my Pritzie today.
Me : *thinks* the name sounds like "pretty", but not quite...
Vet : Hello, what seems to be the problem?
Owner : It's this, I gave her a bath earlier and I noticed a bump under her skin here!
Vet : Please let me see.
The vet palpated the mass.
Vet : Could I shave her hair around the mass? It should help me see better.
Owner : Why? You don't need to see better, you're touching it already!
Vet : I'm touching it now but I can't measure it when it's covered in fur. Other vets might miss it if you came back tomorrow.
Owner : Isn't there anyway...
Vet : I highly recommend it, please?
The conversation lasted for many minutes before the owner allows the vet to shave.
Owner : Okay, fine.
Owner : *talked to her dog* Don't worry Pritzie! I'll give you a shirt later! This way you won't have to be embarrassed!
*The vet shaved and palpated the mass again*
*from my point of view, the mass looks like ... a tumor mass.( I didn't touch it ) *
Vet : This is definitely a mass, but there are many kinds of masses and each kind has its own way of treatment. I'd like do a biopsy to study its cytology...
Owner : Biopsy? Does it hurt?!
Vet : well,...
Owner : She has just recovered from a mammary gland tumor surgery! I will NOT allow you to hurt her more!
Me : *Thinking* Then that mass could be... cancer.
Owner : There are many ways of healing swellings like this, right? So why don't we try the way that doesn't hurt first?! Give her a topical medicine or something!
Vet : But I...
Owner : Let's try the way that doesn't hurt first. Is there a type of mass the heals without puncturing it?
Vet : Well, if it's just some inflammation...
Owner : Inflammation! that must be it! So how do you heal inflammation?
Vet : ice packs and anti-swelling medicine.
Owner : I'll take 'em.
Vet : but I highly recommend that we find out what kind of mass it is so we can cure it specifically and effectively.
Owner : I think that can wait. I'd like to try treating it assuming that it's inflammation.
Vet : ...okay... So I'll make an appointment next week. I'll measure the mass's size now and If the mass isn't smaller than today I'M going to do biopsy. NO BUTS THIS TIME!
Owner : Thanks doc!
*the owner left the room*
The vet turned to talk to me
Vet : That totally won't work.
Me : That's what I think.

A vet cannot act without the pet owner's permission. This is absolute. So even if the pet could die from the owner's decision, we just can't do anything. but at least we have to try to convince and inform every information that we can.
If I remember correctly, you had testicular tumor, right? Removing them is the right thing to do in this case because most testicular tumor are malignant. I applaud you for your aggressive decision!
