So many ewwy stories today...
I was restraining a cat to give him a subcutaneous shot.
The cat hissed and meow in a threatening way very loudly.
Before I was able to do anything, he peed all over the table. emptying his bladder like he was holding it just for this.
Vet nurse helped me clean the table. and then he helped my restrain the cat instead, so I can give the shot.
before I was able to do anything, he pooped. Emptying his bowels like he was holding it just for this!
( I successfully gave him the shot after the mess was cleaned. )
Midnight is a dog who was hit by car 3 days ago. She has vertebrae luxation and low platelet count.
She's laying in her cage peacefully when I came into the room and greet her.
Me : Hello there, Midnight! Did you have a good sleep?
Midnight : *vomits blood*
Me : *freaked out* OH MY GOODNESS! MIDNIGHT IS VOMITING BLOOD!
( She was later referred to another bigger hospital. )
Nina is a temple dog ( more or less stray ). She was brought to hospital for her abnormal weakness.
I examine her physical status, and found that she's pale. Probably from anemia.
Vet : Okay, let's give her a detailed examination!
Me : Okay, doc!
Vet nurse : What the....
The vet nurse spotted a big fat tick!
Vet nurse : It's a tick! .... She has ticks!
The vet nurse spread Nina's toes, revealing a dozen of engulfed ticks between her toes.
everyone in the room : EEEWWWW!!!!
Vet : Now I know why she's pale...
( Everyone helped removing the ticks physically from every of her spaces between her every toes and from every of her skin fold. We put the removed ticks on a scotch tape. Which we had to use more than a foot of tape to hold all the ticks that we get. Nina got a medication to kill the parasites later on. )
