Before you get on medications, talk to your primary care doctor and enroll yourself in a stress management course. They are widely available and usually covered by insurance or through compassionate care programs.

Meds should be on a last resource basis. There are lots of various support groups to attend as well and if there are non in your area, they can be found in a secured online setting too. Google is your best friend.
