Vet stories, my first night shift

So, I was on night shift last night. ( And will be on tonight too. )
I was writing plans and checking up on the pets when there's an emergency from the front.
It's a medium sized dog, he has severe ascites ( abdominal fluid ). His belly is so full of fluids that it's swollen to the maximum. I can't even poke my finger in it because it feels like it's about to burst.
So, we put him on the table, have him lay on his side, and do the abdominocenthesis ( using a needle to suck the fluids out of the abdomen. )
The process took us 3 hours. With the result of 5 liters of fluids.
Wow...
After that I continue the checking up of the pets inside the hospital. I was done at 3 o' clock. And I went to have some rest (SLEEPING!) and woke up at 6. lol.

I guess this is the wrong place to be swapping notes.
Let us know how this goes I ran into something like this befor with an Arab horse. Nothing ever. And of it once she was drained . It was interesting though because almost every horse from the same barn suffered the same affliction.
