HARD DRIVE DELETED PLEASE HELP!

I have an external hard drive I keep absolutely everything on. Pictures, movies, songs. (Which i don't care much about I could always just re-download that stuff) But it had every shred of my art on it.
All of it.
All of my personal videos I've recorded of friends and family.
All of the pictures I've taken.
All of my art.
It's a Terabyte but I've only filled 300gigs of it really, maybe less.
It got deleted by accident.
Now I know when things are 'deleted' they're just marked as 're-writable' and the paths to them are taken away. So i know it's all still there.
I'm having trouble finding any good data recovery programs. My friend's been testing a bunch on his own spare memory. (Some crash, some don't recovery everything.)
SO PLEASE.
If you have any advice, suggestions, link, remedies, please please PLEASE let me know.
If it makes a difference it was an Xbox that did it. (300gigs in a SECOND.)

If no one else comes up with anything I'll do some digging and see if I can remember what it was or ask the guy who recommended that I use it.
I haven't used it myself, but I've heard good things.
