Questions about Discord...(Only for MLP fans)

I've been thinking, if Discord truly wanted revenge, why aim it at the main ponies instead of the two princesses who imprisoned him? I mean, if I was trapped in stone for years and finally got free, the first thing I would have done is unleash total chaos on the princesses first then the ponies and the city itself...
Then there's another question, one that was brought up after seeing this pic of Discord being a good guy along with the princesses: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6711628/
What's his backstory in this? I mean, he CAN'T have been a bad ruler from the start, especially since he WAS the ruler of Equestria before the Princesses stood up to him...come to think of it, if he was ruler of Equestria, that must mean he used to a pony, cause look at him now! He's now a draconequus, a mythical creature with a head of a pony and a body of all sorts of other things...
In fact, maybe that's why he did those things, creating chaos, ruining their lives, laughing at their expenses! Maybe at one point, during his reign, some ponies decided to play a prank on him, all in good fun, of course...but the prank probably turned out wrong, VERY wrong, and ended up changing him to the look that he is now permanently...and I guess perhaps, everyone laughed at his expense, which led him to believe that his life was ruined, and that prank that was played on him was truly chaotic and cruel to him...so probably at some point in time, he ended up like how Twlight was in "Lesson Zero", going mad and crazy and chaotic and wanted to unleash his full wrath on the ponies that laughed at him...that's my guess on what his backstory would be, though...
But you're probably asking this now, who was the ponies that played the prank on him? Well that's the fun thing...what if the ponies who pranked Discord was Celestia and Luna? Now THAT would be ironic and interesting, cause, just assuming of course, the two ponies that stopped him turned out to be the same two ponies who pranked him and caused him to become evil in the first place!
And there's one last thing, maybe before Discord went all crazy and evil, maybe while he was a pony he had a name...
Now I can't think of what name he could have had before he became Discord, but maybe it's kinda like the Voldermort/Tom Riddles name...who knows?

Discord was a bit like Sauron. He ruled, but cruelly and probably Ponyville looked a lot like it does in the first episode of season 2 long ago. Luna and Celestia arrived as young colts to kick him out. But he got his revenge by telling Luna the secret that had her banished to the moon: that ponies were wide awake in the daytime, but slept at night making her job useless.
There seems to be many who agree with Squeaks since many a fan-fic approaches this idea.
Discord also never really was malicious, just very mischievous.
