I found you in snow driven fields,
You found me close to your heart.
I chased after you with loving intentions,
You found me more than a pawful and loved me for it.
Now looking back I am uneasy.
Other’s cruel intentions threaten our love,
I my dreams I can hear them coming for me.
I hold you close in my arms, I’m so afraid,
Your whispers kiss my ear and my heart is stilled.
I am unwilling to let you go, your warmth is comfort.
I don’t know how long this feeling can last,
So I hold you closer still.
By my side you stand with me to strengthen,
I know now that I am not facing this opposition alone.
Paw in paw we await the oncoming storm,
At least for tonight, my love, we can still hold each other.
