sergals? Whu?

I really, really don't understand the appeal of these things. Generic looking 'furry creature' with a face like a noseless whippet with shark teeth that got its face slammed in a car door a few hundred times. Is there something mystical that I'm not getting here? Is it because they're designed by that most elusive of creatures - a real Japanese person?
Totally confused. :|

and probably some elite furry made them popular (or in the case of some, vore fetishists + yiff = instant win!?)
I guess they're like Citra used to be years ago (and for some people, still are)
Meh.
I personally don't mind them, but the legacy of look-alikes is getting annoying, I mean, look at all the "original" species recently and nearly half of them are along the lines of Sergals with minor differences, longer snouts, slightly pointer ears, different tails, but yeah...
There's so many different species of animals one can base an original species off of and yet people constant gank the sergal design, it's maddening....and sorry to fill your page with personal ragewank, XD
yeah, seems spot on. I'd just never heard of the damn things until they suddenly started just... appearing out of the woodwork and acting like they'd been there all along and everyone knew about them.
I just can't get over the tissue box faces. No idea why such a boxy, pointy generic... thing is so damned popular. Bleh.
