You will need to clean the cages alot and be prepared to spray large amouts of frabreez in the air other than that there awesome make sure you get them viatems for there food

they sleep a lot but are really crazy when when they are having there play time

Make sure there food doesnt have any corn brand or any short of corn product in it because its bad for the little babies

if you let them romp around your house, be prepared to follow after them with a tiny vacuum as I've been told they shit while they walk O_o

They're great little things, but they do require a lot of work. Be prepared to give them lots of attention, especially as babies. I have one who's about 9 months old now, and when he wants out of the cage, he lets you know. They will be nippy as babies, but are quickly trained out of it. Especially if you use toys to play with them instead of your hands. They're easily litter trained as well, so you don't have to worry about them wrecking your carpet or anything too much. My 3 oldest won't poop or pee unless they're in their litter box or on newspaper.

The biggest downside are the health issues. Once your ferret turns 3 or 4, you'll start to see them, and you'll need to be prepared to shell out a lot of money to care for them. I've already dropped several hundred to treat adrenal tumors. Tumors are very common in ferrets, especially in girls.

Most ferret foods actually can kill them, so you really have to watch what you feed them. The totally ferret brand is the best for them, though it runs about $20 for a 4lb bag.

Though honestly, the care is worth it since they're just the most fun pets ever, and they really love their owners. They usually end up bonding to you really nicely.
