Ok, So it's been a few days and It's had a chance to sink in.I saw cloverfield opening day ...

Thats the date many on the interwebs where waiting for since transformers came out. I myself was not disappointed. Actually I think this is the best movie I have seen in years.
It has everything they promised and then some. It has moments of humor, emotion, epic courage, some romance (albeit with a coating of blood) and some of the most frantic, edge of your seat terror and suspence I have ever encountered on the screen.
This movie is designed to be seen in theaters so don't screw up an "just rent it when it comes out". I know it's expensive and I know your broke but I think it's damn important that it be seen in it's intended format. Think about it, you getting a movie AND a rollercoaster at the SAME TIME!
I know my phrasing of all this sounds cheezy but I'm very hard to please when it comes to films and almost never write very good or long reviews but this film is worth it. I went to see this with ScullyRaptor, Fossil, Era Dragon, and Dracos Blackwing and we where all stunned when it was over. We all agreed it was fucking amazing, but "stunned and shocked" was the words I'd use.
Now heres the thing, some people hate on this movie. They say it's not that good and that it doesn't live up to the hype.
THE FIRST THING YOU MUST DO: is see cloverfield.
THE SECOND THING YOU MUST DO: is kill the sad, sackless, fucker who said this movie was "just meh"
Now, that being siad please note that this movie does do ALOT of camera motion wich may cause some folks to get sick. However I get motion sickness and I was 100% fine throught the film. Also note, that this movie is pretty dark so if your the kind of person who is into light romantic comedies and cute little films about penquins...this movie will destroy you....then rape you...then eat you alive.
But if your like me, and you've been waiting for a movie that isn't afraid to try something new and fresh, and isn't afraid to have BALLS and TEETH. then this movie must be seen.
I can't stress that enough, this film is BRUTAL and in a good way. Go see it before it's gone.

This movie had life.
What I will agree with you on is the fact that it is edge-of-your-seat suspense throughout.
There are definitely some amazing holy crap parts in it too, nothing beats seeing the army bring in a tank and then OMG giant foot smashes it lol.
So that being said, did anyone catch the hidden little bits in the movie hinting at a little bit more than was actually said in the movie? (knowing me, I had to look up all I could after seeing it)
And I do plan to see that movie.
I agree with you on seeing it in movies instead of renting it.
But when they took the woman behind the screen and...*shiver*...
I nearly vomitted into my popcorn.
I loved this movie, and I told everyone about it.
For the love of God, see this movie.
