It's NOT okay to steal pictures off the internet or art from the friend your living with and submit them to a college in your portfolio.

A dear friend of mine is having trouble with a thieving roommate. She steals all her artistic ideas, and she's going as far as snooping through her art and tracing and telling everyone it's hers. Now for her portfolio, she's taken pictures that belong to my friend and claimed them as hers to other friends and even printed out a picture from a famous photographer (she claimed the girls in the pic were her friends) to send in.

When my friend confronted her about it, she just lied her ass off. To sum it all up: "i didn't want his picture to get bent and my photo album is ripped up so i have no where else to put it but in my portfolio which will be sent to college for review". Amazing. Also, her mother made excuses for her daughter. "well, she didn't have enough drawings of her own" WHAT the fuck.

My friend is deeply hurt. This was her good friend once and now she can't trust or respect her anymore.

Thank the lawds for hiding folders on the computer.

National Portfolio Review day passed. I missed it, yet no one told me about it in the first place. I'll be waiting for it next year!
