Artist/Writer Identification Meme

General
Hoping to have Team Players 6 posted sometime in the next couple of days. Until then (and until I've got the time and inclination to post a commentary on feedback and the lack thereof for writers), have a meme.

- What sort of artist would you most identify yourself as? -
Writer
- What would be your secondary identity? -
Editor and layout guy
- What forms of art do you dabble in, but don't excel at? (Keep in mind, this could change!) -
Music (guitar)
- How would you describe your 'style'? -
A varying collection from noir detective stories to fantasy, with some SF and slice-of-life thrown in. The common theme is strong emotional themes and visual descriptions.
- What medium do you favor most? -
Papyrus and charcoal. (or MS Word, if the former is unavailable at a reasonable price.)
- What are your favorite subject matters? -
Slice of life stories, mystery, social interaction and conflict. Oh, and "tab A into slot B" stuff. =P
- What are your least favorite subject matters? -
If I don't like it I don't write it.
- List your Artistic Strengths -
Strongly visual descriptive scenes, conveying emotion through characterization, being a right bastard to my characters.
- List your Artistic Weaknesses -
Dialogue structure, scene transitions.
- Which of the above weaknesses would you most like to see improve? -
Dialogue, definitely - I need to learn to do long conversations without it being boring.
- Adult Content. . . yes/no? -
*gasp* How dare you suggest such a terrible thing? Freak!
Kidding! Porn please.
- Adult Subject Matter you favor? -
Anything involving two characters who really connect well in bed.
- Schooling/Training received in the arts? -
English classes, a great teacher in first-year college, a year of English and media studies and two years of journalism school (Dean's List, graduated with honors, baby!).
- Schooling/Training you'd still like to have? -
Not sure.
- Would you consider yourself prolific, or a 'quality over quantity' sort of artist? -
I write when I can and when I'm inspired.
- Would you considering yourself a Fine Artist, or a Commercial Artist? -
Commercial - I've been paid a bit, but not much, but I don't expect to be considered a fine artist any time soon.
- Where would you like to be in five years? -
Tahiti, with a half-naked beach girl in my lap. *coughs* Still writing, but making better money out of it, and hopefully with a novel out somewhere along the way.
