Tablets?!?

Ok, So I would like to try my hand at some digital work, and I want to know if anyone knows of some good digital tablets to work with. I know Bamboo and Wacom are popular brands, but What is everyone's personal preference? Thanks!

I have the wacom bamboo pen and it serves me well. :) I feel like it's a great tablet for newbies. :D

Yes, it is. Bought it for $200 at Best Buy. Haven't found a flaw in it yet and I think it's great to start with.

ok. The bamboo create seems to be around the same price and is a little bigger. I wonder how they compare against each other.
