Kind of pissed off (ISB comic related)

So where to start, 3 years ago i paid a lot of money to get my Dark-Paws character into a comic that i really enjoyed reading. Due to personal issues between the artist and the writer of the comic things got delayed and ignored until legal action was mentioned.
The Comic swiftly got back into production and the result of what i have seen are really good. Now the person handling the comic production side is informing me that we the people who paid for main character spots and such will not get a free copy of the comic in no form and will have to pay to view it.
They say there is no mention of anyone receiving anything free once the comic is done..nor is there anything to say that we wouldn't. I feel like i have been kicked in the balls. All of us wait all this time to get something then told we have to pay more?!
I should have just taken the option and voted to get the money back and scrap the project if i knew this is going to happen.

I might get flamed for this, but I've always felt that Karis and Marci represent the *worst* that the community has to offer. They've never done anything to me personally, but I've seen enough from many different and unrelated individuals to build such an opinion. It's like folks who live in warmer climates who see snow for the first time. They already know they can expect it to be cold, wet, and white, even if they've never seen it before.
Marci - The Mistress of the Cookie-Cutter. I know she's been an inspiration for some artists and I respect that she's done for the community. The bottom line is that she really isn't *that* good, not when you hold her work up to compare with even a dozen artists on FA. She's never grown her style or tried to do more, but you still get to pay a premium for mediocre.
Karis - This one has always made me think "shady". I don't know if it's just all the rumors I've heard over the last 8 years or what. I do think it's funny that I'm sure he's bitched and moaned about people posting pages from his own comics up without permission - but then you take a look at http://www.karisplayground.com/fridge.html - and there you see a page from X-Men... Laws are only good when they're in your favor!
