I agree. Since I've been exposed to Shinto and Catholism my who life, I see all the differences and understand how the people who follow both religions live. It's a way of understanding another culture and way of life. :3

I (TheCidOfTheMax) was originally exposed to christianity for the most part. I fell out of the religion due to my feelings about it but I also really see why people go for it. I still appreciate my old christian days to some extent but as I started to notice far east religions (shinto, Taoism etc) then I wanted that life too :) and chances are I will have a life where they are involved to some extent. Who knows I might be meditating as in Zen buddhism at some point :P.

Well Christianity in general is pretty popular. Mostly cuz it was practicly forced upon our ancestors during the European Conquest. I'm talking more about my Mexican herritage here. So they didn't know anything else as time continued. Though Mexicans did manage to incorperate their pagan gods and rituals into the religion after winning their independence from Spain. So it's a little different in Mexico as to how the religion is practiced in Europe.

Of course I like to follow Shintoism as well to honnor my Japanese heritage. Also it's a way of learning how the Japanese lived before western influence. Though there's other ways of finding that out of course. XD

But in the end I've managed to find a way to honnor both the Christian God and the Shinto Kami and I like my religious life that way. :D

Buddhism is cool. Very peaceful. I don't have any Budist friends so I don't know much about it, but I do have a Taoist friend. So I know a little about Taoism. :3
