I didn't get it personally - after buying the first 2 when they came out along with some of the other COD games I realised I was basically rebuying the same game over and over.

I can see why other people might be enticed to get it though, if only to stay with the majority of the community.

I was just going to do that too.. but i kinda wanted the experience of hanging out with all the rest of the nerds... there was actually 4 fur suiters there hanging out. It was kinda neat. about 4 or 5 other people were dressed up as various things as well.

nice, i just didnt wanna stand around and be 1/350 people in line waiting to pick up the game, and then going to bed after i got home :3

So glad I don't live in the city.
I mean, I went to the gamestop across the mall, and our line was not that bad.
Had people playing Black Ops in the back of their truck out in the parking lot.
But it only took us 5 minutes after midnight to get ours.
And the Toys R Us next door was open with only 2 people in line lol

whats the plot like?
i havent played any of the games accpet for a few hours of multiplayersplit screen in mw1

The plot is a fictional story based upon what could happen in current time... a war building up... you see the story start to build up in MW1... and then you see the sick truth about some things in MW2... but inevitable.. beginning of world war 3.... and MW3... is just that... ALL OUT WAR.

Oh and.. it's USA VS RUSSIA.... pretty much...

I did, that was okay too, i got sick of it in about 3-4 days though

ya thats the thing about gears you can only play it so much for most people
personaly i like making it rain blood so it works for me

i had no problem with Gears 1 or 2 playing it for a long time, its just this one kinda just has nothing to keep me interested in it.

It's a good game, I was up late.. So I thought.. "Hey I'll just stay up now that I can play MW3 on release hurr durr" I'm close to being done with single player and made it to level 18 on MP

Meh, I got the alternative, much funner when there is a learning curve thrown in.

I have distanced myself greatly from the casual shooter in the last few years.

I'll stick to my RPG's... :P

Gears of war 3 owns my life

60$ for MW2 DLC? Wow, that's pretty extortionate of Activision.

specially since 40% of the 'new content' was old maps.

The game feels different a bit from MW2... takes some getting use to....


And on a secondary note.. SKYRIM WILL OWN!


and on a thirdly note... I hate battlefield games... but.... i found battlefield 3 to be quite a good game and have since bought it... it's not sitting all shelf-life at the moment though... now that i got my prized mw3. ;)

Heh, this seems to be a trend with EA's war shooters. Come out before CoD. Sell before CoD. Get Ignored once CoD comes out. Get players back who tire of CoD

I use to be a huge Call of Duty fan though its been waning over the last few months and I quit black ops over two or three months ago.. now I got battlefield 3, its pretty much killed any interest in online CoD for me cause its so much more fun. I will still get MW3 for the campaign and the co-op but dont think ill be playing the multiplayer as religiously as I did MW2 and Black Ops.

Black ops was a terrible piece of trash though.... MW2 is where the real deal was.

Did you go for PC or a Console? If PC, I'll take ya on... same for BF3 if it ever receives parole from your shelf. X3

I only play shooters on PC... all those console gamers don't know how ownage it is. ;)

You're gonna regret buying it for the PC if IW and Activision support MW3 like they did MW2....which is basically a joke. MW2 hasn't received a single patch on the PC for more than one and a half year, hackers and cheaters are rampant, some perks and weapons are ridiculously OP. Activision is so focused on the consoles, I fear IW will start neglecting the PC community even more once the initial hype dies down.

And that's coming from someone who has more than 200 hours logged in MW2.

This game is BETTER than black ops.. Black Ops was a horrid piece of trash.

Can't testify for MW3 Yet, but for Black Ops... I fully agree.

To put it as some people would say.. "Once you've played one.. you've played them all..."

It is essentially a copy paste of MW2...

Which I am completely okay with... because that game was awesome.

It was really an amazing game... this is just MW2.1...

new content new maps.. new guns... and subtle differences in the way the game is played.... im happy. :)

Tbh I dislike Crap on Disc...I bought Black Ops to try it out and other than Combat Training and Singleplayer, that is all I play. As to MW2 and MW3...well you are actually the first person to state it is amazing, everyone else I have spoken too have said MW2 sucks balls and MW3 is a repainted Black Ops (Which is a repainted MW2)

But hey, if you're happy to pay 60$ for...in your words "MW2.1" and which essentially you describe as DLC and map packs...then no skin off my back ;)

I thought MW2 was alright, but the Battlefield series is my cup of tea. The teamwork involved is so much better than any of the CoD's.

The game is fricken awsome. Just got it a while back and been playing it when I got the chance. Its a bit harder, I confess, but I enjoy all of the Modern Warfare games, and I plan to stick it up to those who wanna play online. If ya got a chance, you wanna play with me on MW3?
