Physical rehabilitation centre visit
Well, fortunately checking mom into the physical rehab centre went smoother then expected. It's a nice place, helpful personnell and the rooms seem cozy despite having 4 people per in them. It's rather a relief really, since a fellow patient in the hospital absolutely savaged the centre (without exaggerating way he talked about it, it sounded like Mengele ran the place), but based on our experiences today we don't feel bad about about having to leave mom there - she really is in the best place she can be to learn to walk with prosthetics, deal with wheelchairs and crutches and whatnot.
Had both lunch and dinner there, and mom was doing well overall, still lots of phantom pains but apparently Reiki can really help against that. Fortunately, I have a local friend who's actually certified Reiki-practitioner. We've tried it before, and it certainly helped against pain then, so we might as well try it with this :)
After today all three of us are pretty exhausted, but fortunately things are going well.

Best vervelend lijkt me als zoiets gebeurt... succes en sterkte!
Dank voor de sterktewensen! :)
