But like the other comment said about learning... that's just something we all do in one point in our artist-life :(
It's not copying, and it's not unoriginal, there is no such thing as being completely original and on your own... It's fine to look at other art to use as a reference, as long as it doesn't look -exactly- the same. I sometimes do that, but I spice it up, I change it so it doesnt look traced or you know, same exact thing just in my character.

Look, I know I can't make you stay or I can't tell you what to do and not do... I'm glad to hear that you will keep drawing (just not sharing it online? from what I read), but sharing it to others is the only way you're going to get feedback on your art.
I don't know what someone did or said to you to make you feel so discouraged, but you really shouldn't let it get to you...
It's tough out in the world of an Artist, I know how it is to get negative comments/etc... but it's what makes the artist stronger.
Prove them wrong, that you -can- do it. Who cares if you make mistakes or whatever--It's art. There is no such thing as The perfect piece of art.
Excuse my language, but fuck the negativity. I've learned to do that myself. I don't care whether or not people like my shit or not, it's what *I* love creating. I share my stuff just to see what others have to say about it, yeah. But honestly, whenever someone gives harsh criticism, I ignore it.
It doesn't go un-noticed, no, I keep drawing whatever it was that I drew.

There is no right way for an artist to draw... You gotta do what you feel most confident in and comfortable with.
Don't let someone else's opinion bring you down. And don't let the referencing poses bother you. If you feel so unsure about it, play it safe and just link the reference you were inspired by. We are all inspired by something to cause us to draw something, that is nothing to be ashamed of.
