I'm worried about my fursuit too - mainly because when I arrived home after AC I found that it was oddly damp. I'm guessing this was a combination of it being a bit sweaty when I packed it away and the coldness of the baggage compartment on a lengthy night ocean crossing. That and the fact that I wrapped it in plastic, which might have created condensation.
Hopefully as it'll be dry when I pack it up tomorrow, it'll still be dry on arrival in Chicago. No plastic covering this time!
