Leaving for MFF

I'm leaving for MFF on the eastbound California Zephyr train #6 tomorrow. Yup.. California to Chicago by land transportation, totally living up to this year's theme hehe.... 2.5 days on a train.

I don't think I'm gonna find any FA people on the train so I'll just be minding my own business, drawing and playing games on my DS. I'll remember to take photos of Utah and the Rockies =D

I remember traveling across the country by train...it was hard work...i had to stay sitting, stay quiet, and somehow manage to keep myself from being bored. Yeah, I was 8 at the time. I miss that.

I recommend motion sickness pills for the train.

Took trains from Albuquerque NM to Decatur IL for Xmas twice.

Surprisingly I never get motion sickness on trains. But I do get carsick alot on a moving automobile. Trains probably dont accelerate and brake as frequently or as violently.

Wait, how come you're taking the train to MFF? Amtrak is like, just as expensive as the airlines, which is wholly ridiculous honestly.

Because it's there. I dunno why but I think it's because it goes straight from my town to Chicago and the idea of not having to leave your town to catch a ride to another city center is pretty interesting.

I guess! Ironically though, the con is near the airport and nowhere near the Amtrak stop for Chicago, so you'll likely have to take the blue line once you get into Chi. But you probably knew this already. I just hope riding a train for 2 days doesn't become too boring/smelly for you.

Haha, yeah I know this. It's good for flying back though, my flight out of chi town departs from O'Hare.
