I just searched for "Ponyville" on Google Maps... and didn't find one. I am disappoint. There are so many crazy town names("Batman, Turkey", anybody?) that I was sure I'd find one. For good measure, I also searched for Appleoosa, Canterlot, Manehattan, and the other places on the MLP wiki, but got the expected "not found". Google went straight to Manhattan, even. But Ponyville, that actually seems possible! I did find Cloudsdale Ave though.
If it existed somewhere, I was hoping to use it in the comic at some point. That would simply be funny and cool if it was a real town name.

2 meets ago, I mentioned I was a Brony and got the cold shoulder from almost all the attendees on that. ^__^
... Then at the last meet (G.A.M.E.) they showed several episodes of FIM in the animation room and I met a few Bronies there.
I also hosted an FIM tabletop RPG and it was a hit (8 Bronies were there not including me).
Have you heard about the BronyCon this march in Jopin?

And in JOPLIN?!?!?!??!??!?!?!
I see that tickets are $25(pre-order), though, which makes me wonder what will be going on that will be worth that. Hanging with bronies, sure, but that's not enough to justify $25, especially with how non-social I am. Tabling is tempting, at $10 more, but the only thing I can think of that I could sell is sketches, which I'm sure will be in abundance already. Also reselling official merch or modified merch(custom pony figurines are sure to be there, too). I doubt anything non-pony-related would fit in. Surely I'd need a business license or tax ID or whatever, too.
I'm joining the group so I can keep up with news on this. Not sure if I'll attend, though.
OH, and the lady who seems to be running it is a friend of a friend! That friend/coworker is surely going to mention the convention to me eventually, if he remembers that I've brought the ponies up before. I'm bound to bring them up between now and March, anyway.
I haven't been coming because of various reasons(money, activity not of interest, scheduling, whatever), but I feel like I've skipped too many.
Wow $25 huh? Do you have a link to the page with all that info on it? I need specifics so I can save up. And I agree with you on the whole "Is it worth the $$" issue.
If they have info on what will be taking place, I'm much more likely to do it. $35+ for Gas round trip plus $25 might not be worth my trouble, although I might be able to draw ponies for $ and by then I'd likely have my new fursuit made so I can perform Pony songs on Keyboard if they'll have me. ^__^
I wish I could think of other furry activities we could do. Movies, watching cartoons at someone's house... that's as good as I can think of.
