Am I an asshole? Y/N/Maybe

Am I an asshole for commissioning someone and not wanting them to put my commission on an Art CD to which they are going to make money from?
Alright, I'm wanting to set this straight. I've gotten myself into an argument on FA simply over bitching about "Art Piracy". Essentially, I can't give a rats ass about pirating Art CDs and shit from Pay Sites. Why? I find it stupid that when an artist decides that either Commissions are too tiresome OR that Donations don't cut it, that they make their site a Pay Site and charge everyone to view their art. I find it extremely snobbish, and just about all the time, the art isn't worth it.
Also, I have no problem with downloading Art CDs and such. The problem I have is paying for them at ususally $20/each when I can wait a week after a con and download them.
The reason? I'm not paying anyone a DIME if I am required to do so to see art of anything other than my character. I will only pay someone if I have commissioned them, or if I'm feeling genorous and donating something to them. I have no problem whatsoever donating to someone (and I've yet to throw any money to Kahvie because of my current money situation, but I will soon! <3) or commissioning them if the price is right (I'm still contemplating commissioning Gideon). But, I DO have a problem being charged to view something that is not of me.
I don't buy porn, so why the fuck should I pay a site to view it? Why in God's Green Earth do these fucking uppity artists charge people $5/month to view their shitty art, and then scream "THIEVERY" when I had no intention on paying them a fucking dime? They aren't losing shit, because there was no money to begin with. The art is already made, people have already paid them via subscriptions, so why the fuck do you label me as a thief?
The ONLY way I can be labeled an "Art Thief" is if I take your shitty ass art and say I drew it.
Take into consideration these things:
* If I commission you (Pay you), I would expect that this transaction is final, and continued use of it to make you money would be prohibited.
* You would still obtain all rights to said image, but it owuld be against my wishes if you put it on an Art CD only to make more money from it.
* If you were to use it on your site (odds are, if I commission you, you don't own a paysite for your art) I wouldn't give a rat's ass. I wouldn't care if you posted it to your VCL, FA, or whatthefuckever Art site account. I don't care if you make money indirectly because of it (someone commissions you because of said image). I just have a problem with you "re-selling" my commission to someone.
So, am I an asshole for thinking like this?

in regards to stealing things which do not belong them. Some do not.
As for commissions and such - This may not be the universal - or 100% rule of courtesy in the realm of commissioned art or anything - but I work this way:
One person commissions another for a piece of artwork - and the artist is paid for this work by the commissionee. This is an easy concept.
The finished piece of artwork - ie the physical piece of work (or in the case of digital art the sum of the image which can easily be recognized as that piece of work) belongs to the
commissionee.
That means the actual physical piece is the person's who bought and paid for it - but -
when we get into terms like copyrights, and intellectual property the end result of the artwork is still the propoerty of the Artist.
I don't usually ask to post things I have drawn because I don't charge for people to see my works and never will. I never post pieces if the commissionee specifically asks NOT to have their image posted and I never role pieces into my art CDs if the individual asks me not to.
And in reverse the commissionee still must ask to post the image, and under no circumstances should they reproduce, alter or re-sale the image (by any means) without express permission of the artist. Try to sell anything at a con artshow that you didn't draw yourself and you will see this concept in action.
This is a double edged sword - alot of fans have complained (repeatedly) because they'll never see over 60% of the pieces I draw - and is because of this same courtesy.
I give up the opportunity to have alot of my work seen, but it is for this reason that if you commission with me I feel I am working at a fair rate and in a manner which is professinal and courteous.
you be the judge.

No. Perfectly understandable, that much is. But then, you should know what artists do and do not do that before you make the comission in the first place.
As for your bit about illegally downloading art that you are supposed to pay for, I DO think that makes you an asshole. They have the right to charge you to see their work if they want to. If they're good enough, it's worth it, if not they'll learn through lack of interest.
So yeah. Comissions you should have some control over. But for god's sake, let the artists make some money.
