No More Adult Artwork - Please Read
This has been a long time in consideration and something I've spoke about with friends many times - but now I feel ready to put my foot down and say it once and for all:
I will no longer be offering adult artwork commissions.
This specifically means porn. I have no issue drawing artistic nudes at all and will continue to do so. Anything more explicit is a simple no.
My reasons for this are many and varied, and have expanded over the years, but the only thing I want to say is that I am not comfortable drawing adult content, I do not feel at ease with it in the slightest. I think I'll enjoy working on commissions more if I remove it from what I offer.
I will continue to sell my adult prints if I'm at conventions, though there will gradually be less of these - a lot of stock will not be replaced when it sells out.
Honestly I would be a hypocrite if I didn't add that there *may* be a chance of me offering an adult commission in future via auction if urgent financial need arose, or collaborating as colourist on adult art for a friend. So yes, that COULD happen. If it does, I don't want to hear BUT YOU SAID NO MORE because...it's my choice.
There is one remaining piece of M/M adult art in my commission queue and that will be completed and posted to my gallery. And that will be the last. I hope that you will all stick around despite this, and as always I appreciate your support. Thank you! :)

EDIT: Many thanks to you all for your support! I would thank you all individually but I can't think of a way to do so without getting hellishly repetitive - but I appreciate every one of your comments. :) :)

Honestly I have unwatched artists because they ONLY drew porn and it doesn't appeal to me in large quantities.
I don't think anyone will think any less of you, because your art is worth displaying and being proud of
I admire you for these qualities, not because you post all this smut that people love.
I'll continue to watch you, and as rufus said, artistic nude is much sexier, something that shows the beauty of the body (especially females) is much more visually appealing than, well.... bodily fluids flying everywhere >_>
Don't take offense to the people who unwatch you. If you take anything away from it, take away the fact that people wouldn't have watched you in the first place if they didn't think you were a good artist. There are plenty of shitty artists who draw porn, and I don't watch them. You DO have talent! But the people who are unwatching you are just simply looking for more than good art.
I'm happy with your decision to stop doing something that you are not comfortable with. You are your own person and you should make your own choices about what makes you happy. Don't pander to the horny masses if you don't want to -- there are plenty of other folks to do that, and they do it because they enjoy it. Do what you want to do, and don't give a rat's ass if other people don't like it!
Happy trails, and I unwatch you with as much respect as possible! Don't be discouraged! Remember, we're not on FA for the same reasons you are.
Much love; no homo.
Sincerely,
Furry porn lovers
As someone who is currently living off my art and does not do adult commissions, I can tell you that it does work out. I've never had any real trouble finding commissions when I needed them, and I'm sure it'll be the same for you :)
But I will point out that I am not a fan of porn anyway, and my views on relationships are very vanilla and perhaps "old fashioned" compared to most people in the fandom. A reason I often do not relate to people here, I suppose.
I like your art.
I have my mature filter on anyways... lol ^^;;
Be happy with the work that you produce! Never do something you don't wish to do or you'll always feel empty.
I hope you find more satisfaction with your work as a result of this. Best wishes. :)
I mean when you have 4871 watchers all potentially planning to commission you at some point. It would do more harm then good being all secretive about why you aren't doing adult requests anymore. Who needs to keep the details for such a decision under wraps anyway? Its like,...as useless to not speak a word about your reasons for choosing Sprite over 7up o-o... I think 4871 watchers are more then entitled to a heads up, but if one must for personal comfort give no explanations for the sudden change of heart is fine too. Just playing it off as nobody else's concern to even know of your decisions made which automatically involves commissioners. It only depends if there involved uninformed, or fully aware.
And no, I don't owe any of you an explanation. None at all. And I don't find furry art sexy - I have said as much.
I said heads up in regards to the decision itself, wasn't talking about the reasons for said decision

These two sentences should be more then enough to understand....When you decide you don't wanna do adult art anymore you don't owe your 4000 watchers....not...an explanation, I was talking about letting then know you are not gonna be taking anymore adult submissions. I even express how your certainly entitled to your privacy, but I never saw worth keeping stuff that involves FA personal....If its not gonna get your identity stolen, your house stalked, access to my bank, you know.....my lifes hard earned resources that allow me to go each day with all I need to make a living....THAT stuff is under wraps....but why I never felt comfortable drawing adult content for money.....It would be of little importance to me ta share if someone who gave a crap even asked =/,
You have every right to not draw it and it's a good idea to only draw what you like but I dislike a lot of these comments here treating as if "going clean" is a lifestyle choice of some magnitude.
I don't like the sentiment that people are expressing either that if you watched someone for their adult work then you're automatically a shallow/perverted person that doesn't care about "real" art.
I don't like the idea of people unwatching me over a lack of adult art (obviously) but at the end of the day, it's up to them. I've unwatched people because they started to draw all humans or subject matter I didn't like or they changed the way they drew wolf-faces or any number of reasons - so I totally respect the individual choice in receiving the content they want to their FA inbox. If you use FA as a porn site, then you can choose from tons of prolific porn artists.
As for implying the commenters here are just hoping I'll draw porn for them as an exception, I find that rude and presumptuous.
Oh wait.
In seriousness, though, good call, Korrok. I hope this doesn't cause a dent to your sales, furries being furries, but nevertheless I still say we could always use more clean art in the pool. I've never felt comfortable with the idea of drawing porn myself, so I can completely understand where you're coming from on this.
It's disheartening, though, when somebody is looking through your art folder and loses interest when they realise there's no dick. Having said that, if somebody does that, they're not really worth knowing anyway.
