So my screen is death....again

life is good... ain't it so?
Well I was using my old toshiba yesterday and turned off before going to sleep like I would always do. I left it unpluged since my house has bad power issues. Tonight I turned it on and it was black and still running. Sasme old story that happend to me last year. The screed was back but you could still see what was on it. Thankfully my TV has a Monitor mode and It a big help. But I can't sit on my desk now.

your case last year and now is it may be that.
got a laptop model? I could search to see if this is a common problem.
And i have nothing else to do and it could entertain me for abit.
other fixes i have saw is removing the ram, turning it on then replacing the ram and turning it back on, but that's a long shot. (and doubt it would work)
if you want to stay at your desk, might want to find a old CRT and put it on the desk and use it till you can get another laptop/current one repaired.
