Home at last
Sad as it was to leave, I'm finally home from MFF 2011. Long train ride is long, especially when you travel alone. Had some oopses and derps over the weekend, but managed to make it there and back with (I think) not forgetting anything.
The con was fantastic, and just like every year I go, it was full of new things and experiences.
A big hello to everyone in internet land that followed me home from MFF. <3 I had 15 watches when I got home! Its really great to see how many people I met there are now connected to me here.
I'm very, very grateful for all the commission work I got over the con. I'm sorry if I was a bit scatterbrained, but at least I got (mostly) everything done and delivered to peeps. There are one or two of you who either didn't pick up your badge or I didn't get to it that last day OR we arranged for it to be done after con. If you are one of those people, feel free to note me and stay in touch! We'll make arrangements to get your artwork to you.
I'm just... stunned at how popular my work was this year. You guys are awesome! I had almost more work than I could handle and twice had to bow out of the alley to work on what I had taken on. xD wow, that's all I can say. I loved doing it and the sore hand was worthwhile, because while I worked my tail off, I managed to pay for registration, train tickets AND my share of the room, which meant my con was completely free. <3 Clow card badges were extremely popular, so if you got one this year, lucky you! I'll be offering them again next year, but most likely raising the price to $25 vs. the $15 I charged this year. Supply and demand, you know! Might be able to work a little less hard if I raise the price, lol.
For those who took home art from me: Please feel free to post it! I encourage you to scan/take a picture of it and put it up, and link me so I can see it! I don't have any pictures of what I did, or scans, so I'm relying on you. <3
So far, here is what I've found posted of my clow cards, so the rest of you can see it:
2010:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4842764/ - the Harrow
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4836570/ - the Sage
2011:
http://www.furaffinity.net/full/6879420/ - the Waff
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6891298 - the Song
http://www.furaffinity.net/full/6895165/ - the Watery
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6900006 - the Snow
??? - the Big
??? - the Song (#2)
??? - the Leprosy
??? - the Sand (I have this, need to scan it)
I also did a mess of MLP:FIM badges this year... hadn't planned on offering them, but a lot of people expressed interest, and once I did start, i got a whole bunch of those too! It felt like the theme of con, rather than the official route 66. xD but still lots of fun.
Next year I gotta get a bit more organized to make things easier on myself.... might do like some artists and make forms in a binder so I don't forget to write down information (like I often did this time). I'm... not a terribly organized person. Gotta write it down or it gets misplaced. Also need to bring business cards! So many people wanted one and I had none.... live and learn, I guess!
