In Skyrim...
If your using conjured weapons... Does leveling up conjuration increase their damage? If not I'll never be able to conjure a weapon that is stronger than my Ebony Blade?
Also, its all very well and good having a conjured weapon that auto soul traps, but if your using conjured weapons you cant enchant them to other than to enchant armor, once, because its passive on armor.. whats the point in using conjured weapons frequently?
Ta ^^

The only good reasons I can think of for using conjured weapons in this case is to decrease the weight you carry on a regular basis (since conjured weapons have 0 weight and you won't be carrying a weapon around), prevent the need to repair your weapons, and ignore the need for arrows (since conjured bows come with conjured arrows). Plus, if there are any summon spells you want, using bound weapons increases both the weapon's skill and the conjure skill.
When I played Oblivion, though, yeah, I never used conjured weapons; I always enchanted all my equipment to increase my strength so I could carry more stuff and do more melee damage >.>
As for increased stats, i'm not sure; it seems to be stronger than my skyforged steel sword (fine). Dunno how it puts up against an ebony sword though.
The sword is pretty damned OP early game, too >.>
I think the best melee weapon I've got atm is an Elven War Axe, so the bound sword hits for more, plus it's faster (Daggers > Swords > Axes > Maces, in order of speed), though I've got an Ebony Bow which is hella good for sniping :D
