I think every country has specific holidays unique to themselves, that no one else celebrates.

Just think of it as the only real "Feast Day" most Americans observe.

I can understand no guy fawkes day - after all, it's a nationalist thing, like Thanksgiving is. But boxing day didnt seem particularly "British". Though now i think about it, it was made by the victorians as a sort of "Hooray for servants!" thing, so, i can see how other pople wouldnt celebrate it =p

I honestly made this journal as a sort of in joke for myself, because this time every year a bunch of my american friends go "Happy thanksgiving!" to me and then act super shocked when i tell them that i dont celebrate it. One person also called my parents monsters for not "letting" me celebrate it xP
