Granted our country isn't exactly on everyone's Love list, I do agree they should keep their nasty opinions to themselves.

...eh. One of the things we fight for is their freedom not to like us. It's nice that unlike our forebears coming home from Vietnam, at least this round most people have developed the ability to discern between dislike for the policy and dislike for the people tasked with carrying it out, and most people seem to have a healthy (and frequently humbling) respect for the sacrifice of individual service members; but the ones that can't make that distinction at all are occasionally pretty aggravating, I'll agree. Still: the fact that they can get on your nerves without getting arrested? That means we're doing the job right. Let 'em talk; those who know enough to understand, know enough to let it roll. Brush 'em off and keep rockin'.

I appreciate you. Some of those in the military make the fact that they are in the military their only "thing". They seem to have no personality outside of that. This seems to ironically irritate the very kind of furries who have furry as their only "thing" and have no personalities beyond that. Often, bias is an exercise in irony.

In any event, thank you for your service, and I hope you make it through without a scratch, and with some awesome stories to tell.

I salute you! I myself am fed up with those that do not appreciate the military. And yet I tend to be extreme about it, and here's a story from my profile that best illustrates that:

The story centers on one of my characters, Super Slash (formerly one that was part of our Army), who tells the villain that he is under arrest for hating the military and the flag. I know now that that's nationalist, and that's not always a good thing. But the crisis is resolved in the end (for that, see my multi-chapter work "The Super Slash Saga").
