Kraest Seriously, I need to sell this laptop. It's still new, less than a year old, it has 4gb of ram, 600gb of storage, AMD Phemon II quad core processor, 15.3" screen. The only reason I'm selling it is because it doesn't have a full sound CARD, it just has a sound CHIP. Because of that, I can't record my music on it. Other than that, it's a beautiful machine.
If you or someone you know needs a laptop, I'm selling this one for $500. That's actually $300 less than my original asking price for this, I just need a new one.
You can contact me at ildeking[at]yahoo.com if you or anyone you know is interested. If you're not interested, at least pass it along in a journal or something in case someone else is.

There is no need to replace a laptop just because the built in sound isn't good enough to be your DAW. Just get a good USB low latency interface and rock on guy!
It's possible to run a USB interface as low as 1.5ms latency by setting the buffer size to 64 samples.
I've got a system that bypasses the latency issue entirely, but if I can't even run my music programs, I can't use this computer.
