I had a continuation of the Crisis of Photography that I'd first experienced at Anthrocon. I didn't know what to take pictures of. I couldn't lift my camera. Everything became trying to predict the perfect light settings. Instead of using what I've learned from Frolic, I decided to start over from scratch. Why? I dun now, I'm retarded. Not only that, but I'm falling into the trap of overanalyzing, and instead of enjoying the photos I'm taking, I'm making it into hard labor that I'm not enjoying. I guess I just need to find that head-space where I can take pictures and enjoy it. I only ended up with about 100 pictures, out of a total of 250. I threw in a bunch of stuff I would have normally discarded, just because. All of these are minority post processed. Most aren't color corrected, but have lighting levels adjusted. I've also gotten into the habit of sharpening and color-enhancing fursuit eyes. I hope it's not too noticeable. I've also found a better technique for masking facial eye-bags. It makes folks look much less artificial than the clone stamp method I'd been using, and still knocking off a few years. Yeah, I'm still skin smoothing too. People don't want to see their hair follicles sticking out of individual pores. At least, I don't think they do.
The con itself was a whole helluva a lot of fun. I met a couple of new folks, caught up with some old friends, and generally had a better time at a con than I have in a while. I attribute this in part to Kiteless and his odd ability to have a meaningful conversation with ANYONE. Godric was out for several hours, and both Plague Picardy and Partial Picardy made it out. I did dancing in Partial Picardy, and man, it was nice to not be suffocating in a body suit while fursuit dancing, Yeah, I know, it's cheating, but whatever. :P I'm trying to juggle my vacation around next year to see if I can work MFF in around China and Burning Man. We'll see what I can make happen.
Enjoy the photos! Repost as you please, with attribution. Editting is fine for non commercial as long as I'm attributed at the original photographer. License is Creative Commons (CC) BY-NC-SA.

As for post-processing, I normally do some color correction and a spot of sharpening before uploading. Pics that require a lot of sharpening I upload in a smaller size to hopefully disguise the grain problems that can ensue. Although a lot of my shots may not be technically great, I tend to upload as many as I can because people always appreciate seeing their fursuits. I often see people asking on forums if anyone has a pic of their suit and I'm always pleased to help. A few times I was the only person to have taken a pic of said suit.
You're going to China next year? That should give your camera a good workout. I've been to Hong Kong and Japan a few times and Asian architecture, street signs and general human activity make for fantastic photographic subjects.
The issue with MFF I think was mostly that I couldn't get a handle on the lighting. Like I mentioned, instead of using what I've learned from Frolic, I tried to reinvent the wheel, and it didn't work so good. :) I got really discouraged early on because I kept obsessing over the LCD preview, which is sooooo not accurate, and just really good for knowing if you actually took the right subject. The end photos turned out okay, but I had to really tweak the light levels on some of them.
Yeah, I'm going to China for a kung fu study trip. I'm actually terrified of taking pictures, Communist country and all. I'd rather they not confiscate my gear for my taking a picture of something I wasn't supposed to. :P
Kung fu study? I trust you've seen this video where someone has dubbed a Kung Fu fight soundtrack over some video footage of Picardy?

Ahahaha, yeah, my drinking buddy and old roommate Kif did that video. ;)
