He should be the bad guy. That sounds more interesting to me

i say bad guy who more 'won over' to ploy against them in the end :3 more fun to work that in as cliche as it is. (seriously, trying to work in 'hidden' ploy catches like that are much more difficult to keep track of and to use/do correctly. kinda an autochallenge type thing to me^^)

You don't even need to ask,  UniPrae and I will be more than willing to help you out, trying to develop any new character of yours. Personally, I think villains who are won over by the heroes are much more fun to write, because of the whole process of the villain starting to doubt themselves, and questioning assumptions they've held for longer than they can remember. Plus there's all the fun of a character that actually starts looking forward to fighting Shayde and Samiake, because they aren't going to stab him in the back, and they actually have a vocabulary of more than two dozen words.
*chuckles* There are a host of other stuff to, that I can't even begin to describe here.
