I've been tryin to remember the name of this movie for ages!

Truly something to remember, I´ll post a journal with whatever movie I´m watching before I go to sleep, I´ll try to come up with interesting titles like this

are you sure it's not the cut-to-pieces version they had to make for the UK/US market, falsely assuming that cartoons are entirely for children and thus must not contain sex&gore? because UK furs which have seen the original german version of the animated have stated that only now the movie started to make sense...

I'd try and get you a german DVD, but it has not been seen in shops for a couple years now. I'd have to dig deeper for it myself.

I´m sure I saw cats ripped in pieces and guts :) I downloaded the french version which is uncut and by chance I found an english version uncut yesterday I didn´t know there is a cut version of this lol. I imagine getting a Felidae dvd must be hard being a kind of obscure animated foreign film from 1994.

here in germany it ran in the cinemas, so it's ridiculously hard to come by considering the kind of crap they press on blue-ray these days... probably the distributors' fault. offer the stuff for a while, then retreat it from the market until demand arises, then re-release with useless extra material and nonsense. :P

as far as I know the cut UK cersion had cut more than ten minutes off the movie, distorting the storyline until it was destroyed.
uncut french version, hm. is there a scene with a gutted cat where the unborn are strewn across the lawn? then it's the uncut version.

as for the novels, the first one was pretty good. the second one became a bit strange. the third is... fantastic. I heard the fourth breaches the wall of "it could be". for whatever reasons Akif Pirincci's writing becomes "lifted-off" more and more with every story...
but hey, I don't want you to go and not read them, just try them out. :)

Ah I would love to get my hands on the novels, and yes the scene with the unborn kittens is even in the youtube links I posted, I guess the cut version didn´t survive long enough to cause more damage. I think this is be beginning of my quest to get all books and the dvd :P
