Wouldn't surprise me if they banned "Lassie" dogs next, some people would prefer to ban ALL dogs, especially anything larger than a yorkie. It's utter nonsense...

I read this, and it's a COMPLETE outrage. Are politicians really stupid enough to think this is going to change a damn thing? Kill stuff so stuff gets done?

Also, last time I checked Danes and Huskies were NOWHERE near the "bully breed" list. What the hell is going on in those f'ed up heads of theirs?

Apparently "husky type" dogs are on the "most dangerous breeds" list, along with all the others mentioned on this ban...but every husky I've ever met or owned has been sweet as can be. In fact they often tell you to never get a husky with the intention of it being a guard dog, since they'll just wag their tail and give out kisses. XD For that matter, every pitbull I have ever met has been a smiley face, butt waggin' lovebug

The hell? Huskies? Huskys (malmuts and siberian breeds) are wonderful dogs to own!

And Pit Bulls (staffordshire terrier, pit bull terrier and the regular pit bull), they were all bred back in the day over in England to watch over children while mom and dad took the carriage out for a midnight stroll.
The only reason asshole dog fighter morons use that type of breed for pit fights is because the pit bull was bred to be completely and utterly devoted to his/her master.
They would DIE for their master.

The only aggressive dogs ive been seriously afraid of, working at the animal shelter.. were CHIHUAHUAS man. Those little shits would charge the gate and knaw on the freaking METAL fence to get at you.

I love all dogs, I have four dogs of every shape and size (a min pin/terrier mix, a beagle mix, a chihuahua and a siberian husky/rough collie mix) My husky mix is VERY sweet, she wouldn't hurt a fly. Chihuahuas are awesome little dogs too, please don't bad mouth them. :( They can be yappy if not properly trained, but they're VERY loyal and protective of their humans. They often get a bad rap too, they're very much "one person" dogs and are often shy/uncomfortable around strangers (especially if not properly socialzed from puppyhood). I was just fostering my chihuahua Foxy (who was rescued from a very bad situation) and when he was taken to his new home, he escaped and ran all the way back to my house, jumped in my arms when I opened the door! I took him back because he wouldn't have it any other way, he chose me. Never had an animal SO devoted to me like that. They're extremely loyal and loving to the person they pick as "their" human. Who knows what happened to the chihuahuas you met at the shelter, they could have come from an abusive home or were frantic after being dumped by their person (I have seen first hand how upset they can get when separated from "their" human)

I was just stating a fact that ive never been attacked or had aggressive behavior shown to me at my job (i am an animal control officer), from any of the "bully breeds".
Even pit bulls whove been abused were the sweetest mutts.

My mom and sister (they kind of co-own the dog), have a little chihuahua they adopted from the shelter last year and hes a bit hyper, but Deuce is a cute little thing and incredibly smart.

Ive got a Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog (blue heeler), mix and she can be a goof as well, and shes incredibly smart.

But yes, I agree. All dogs of ANY breed can become and BE great pets, as long as they have humans that take care of them properly.

Yeah, I've never met an aggressive pitbull type either, as stated in an above comment every one I've ever met has been super sweet (even with my dogs, my husky mix was given a pibble kiss once)
