i've meant to install homebrew myself for emulators, but i don't have a suitable SD card and riiiight now i rather value my savegames and my wii (there is a slight possibility to brick it).

also the twilight hack as offered on the site might be far outdated since it's for the older wii firmware before 4.0. for anything past 4.3 there's letterbomb ( http://wiibrew.org/wiki/LetterBomb ) and under 4.2 there's bannerbomb ( http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Bannerbomb ). there's also indianapwns but it requires having played the LEGO indiana jones game once on your system or something.

also this is very important to have as soon as possible when starting to hack your wii http://wiibrew.org/wiki/BootMii
since it's lets you recover/unbrick your system if you happened to go severely wrong with something.

but wii still seems a lot easier to hack than psps... i mean, THEY ARE EASY TO HACK but only if you got the right system and firmware. 8C

you might be WAY better off looking up a guide though, but i believe these things over there are the few essentials to pay attention to. XD
