That movie ... and that person ... I know them all too well. Watching that brought back some memories of what my life was like when I went through school. I must've been called by those names I don't know how many times. Mostly Gay and Fag. They weren't true, and I knew they weren't true, but it still hurt so much. I don't know what I would've done without my family and my church. Sometimes crazy ideas ran through my head. Most of the time I just kept it stored down deep and tried to hold on. I was fortunate enough to have a teaching body that were always kind to me. Every teacher, and every conselor always smiled at me and said hello. With the exception of one who was really just being strict I think. This may have been cause for more mockery; I don't know. All I know is that I kept going with their help and I'm grateful to them for it every single day of my life. When I finally was able to meet people who could see past the stupidity of the others and know the real me ... I was so happy. They helped me to grow and to be a better person. I made it through Middle School despite the opposition put against me. High school was a new playing field and it was tough at first, but I had endured; I'd gotten battle scars and grown a shell and while my first year was rough, things only got better as time went on. I was still the bookish kid, the naive and sheltered brat. My first year in High School was a bit of a rude awakening when it came to talking about mature things and learning about them that I had never considered before. I had my friends always around to talk to and I made new ones in Chorus once they got past to see the real me ... and once I'd done a bit more growing up. I managed to make it through graduation and when I looked back, I saw only the good memories. The bad still stings and hurts at times to recall, but it only makes the good that much sweeter. If anyone else reads this journal and watches that clip, this is my story. And I can tell you that it will be alright in the end. You have to hold on, grit your teeth, sometimes even fight on the inside to stay strong. But in the end it's worth it. And there's a whole world of possibilities out there waiting to be explored where people can and will accept you instead of putting you down.

No your fine. It's very healthy for use to get things off of our chest and when it comes to our past, sometimes I think it's necessary. Hope to hear from you again.

thanks for the compliment. I'm afraid that you probably won't be seeing much of me soon though. I'll be going home where there is less internet and then I'll be gone for two years. I'm going to serve a mission for my church. I've waited a long time to do it, but now I can.
