You're right... I'm taking her in a couple weeks for her annual checkup/shots, so I'd rather not stress her out with 2 vet visits in such a short time. But if she gets worse then vet check it is :(

My Nana's cat got his tail caught in something a few months ago and hurt his tail pretty bad. Maybe yours had gotten caught on something and struggled to hard to get free?

That's probably what happened. I just gets me paranoid about letting her go outside...

She might have gotten in a fight with another cat or caught by a dog or something like that.. I'd make sure to clean and put medicine on any wound she could have.
I keep my kitties inside at all times cause I am paranoid about something happening to them.. Mine are all indoor kitties.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't another cat since there's no other scratches or bites. Not that she couldn't have somehow gotten away with it, but still. Just in case I cleaned off her cut - she just LOVED that :/

Good for you! Inside is the best way to keep kitties, it adds years to their life. Bastet was semi-feral before I got her, so unfortunately she doesn't do too well cooped up. I always get SO nervous when she's not around though.

Yeah that's understandible. My cat Mogget was an inside cat when I got him, and Guenhwyvar was raised inside from kittenhood... And my newest kitten Gandalf, He was found abandoned outside but he does fine inside as well. I want a bigger house because an apartment is pretty small, but my cats seem happy enough here. ^^

Yeah, it's cool how cats work in small spaces. To a certain extent the more kitties you add the less space they need, on account of having buddies to keep busy with. Also, your cats have the awesomest names.

I hope she recovers fully... and that she will under conditional till hell frozes! My old cat, Kiefer, got an abcess in his tail, playing with other cat. Thank goodness, it bursted open by itself. Since then, I never allow him to go out... unless escorted.
Before anything else, give Bastet a hug and a kiss from Kiefer and Bagheera, her 'colleagues' in my home!

Bastet used to be a stray, so she doesn't like being kept in one place. I'm mostly worried she might be hit by a car... at least she comes home at night before all the big predators come out.

Be sure to give bagheera and kiefer a snuggle for me! :3

Did you spay her? I neutered both of my boys as soon as they had the age. With Kiefer, escort is easy. He rarely is 2 meters away from me and he knows that this guarantees him a piece of sausage all for himself. With Bagheera I use harness and leash (plus boiled potatoes, rice, yucca, ahuyama (two South American edible plants; roots in the former, fruits in the later), plus a good, long game of fetch. He is the only cat I know that plays fetch!

Both are strays, BTW, both found when they were 1 week old. Kiefer was so skinny you could count his ribs and Bagheera, well, I found him half-drowned after a terrible downpour in Barranquilla, my city. Now Bagheera has one year and Kiefer goes up the 1oth year, perhaps 15.

Predators? Owls or something like that? My biggest fear is that Bagheera gets hit by a car or victim of bad people (he is utterly black) so the leash is mandatory. A trick that has worked for me is having them in my bed when I see a video...they like movies! But my concern is that they LOVE Clint Eastwood's Harry Callahan!

I'll give them an extra hug and an extra kiss in your name. Same for Bastet! Just one tip: Never watch 'Daredevil' with her! She can get ideas...^-^

Yup. I got her as a stray after a neighbor caught her and her babies under their house. As soon as the kittens were weaned I got her spayed. She'll go on a leash and harness, but I can't take her on walks as often as she wants to go out D: I'm surprised your cats like veggies so much! Watching movies is a cool idea, maybe some nature documentaries so she can see the birds :3

Mostly owls, but I live pretty close to a forest so we can get almost anything roaming around. A while back there was a bear problem on the other side of town.
